These biscuits are typical of the Christmas holidays in the Anglo-Saxon and Nordic countries, my daughter goes crazy, and I love their fragrance that spreads throughout the house when preparing them. Around the web and cookbooks are hundreds of different recipes, I've tried a few, this year I tried to prepare this rather simple, basically a shortbread flavored.
ginger
ingredients: 300 grams of flour
150 g sugar 100 g butter 1 egg
juice and zest of 1 / 2
lemon 2 teaspoons ground ginger
! teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 pinch nutmeg
a pinch of salt 1 teaspoon baking
preparation:
make the fountain on the work surface with flour, melt the butter over low heat, meanwhile beat a bit ' the egg and sugar, add the cooled butter and all the spices, then baking powder. Mix quickly without working too much and let the dough rest for half an hour in the fridge.
Spread the dough with a rolling pin height of about 1 / 2 cm and cut out the biscuits with shapes. Put in oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
1, fired .......
the 2nd batch!
The biscuits will keep well for a long time in a metal box.
